Drivers should plan for delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for nighttime restrictions on Interstate 17 near Bumble Bee Road exit 248 starting Tuesday, Sept. 18. While a Department of Public Safety investigation occurs, the roadway will be narrowed to one lane.

  • Southbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane (left lane closed) near Bumble Bee Road exit 248 between milepost 251 and 249 from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 18 to 2 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Drivers should proceed through the area with caution, slow down and watch for personnel and equipment.
